There's so much a poster can do. No matter how much you like the maker and the stars, a lame one-sheet makes you cringe, and your buzz begins to wane. On the other hand, a film and creators you've never heard of might have a poster that makes you instantly curious.



Some click, some don't -- and a good poster doesn't a good film make. And vice versa. That in mind, check out my favorite posters of 2009

Shocking visuals on Tuesday morning showed a group of pilgrims sleeping near Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple being beaten up. The attack, caught on camera, shows pilgrims, who were sleeping at a ground close to the temple, being beaten with lathis.



Unconfirmed reports attributed the attack to Raj Thackeray's Supporters. However, Thackeray's party, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has denied any involvement in the incident. Analysts say the reason the MNS remains a suspect despite its denials is because it is known to orchestrate these attacks and invite cameramen to film them.

A team of artists worked on the campaign for a charity which aims to promote childhood issues. The Ukrainian studio behind the work, Fafastudio, was led by visual artist Dimitrij Skliarenko



Sophia Matveeva, from the studio, said: "The idea was to stage a three-day session using 30 children."
