Ghatikudu, is an full length entertainer with an extra dose of comedy, Suriya’s character is shaded negatively for the first time, which is one of the highlights of the film. In some portions of Ghatikudu, Suriya appears as a 10 year old.



Vetaran actress Saroja Devi played Nayantara’s grandmother role in the film. Suriya, a contract killer, enters Saroja Devi’s family to take revenge on the household but ends up in becoming the owner. Vadivelu plays Saroja Devi’s cook.

Lakshmi is the goddess of light, beauty, good fortune and wealth. Lakshmi was the daughter of the wise Bhrigu. Goddess Laxmi emerged out of the Kshir Sagar (ocean of milk) during the great churning of the oceans (Samudra Manthan). When the gods saw Lakshmi, they all fell in love with her beauty.
