3 Idiots is Vidhu Vinod Chopra's new film directed by Rajkumar Hirani starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R. Madhavan, Sharmaan Joshi and Boman Irani. The Movie is based Chetan Bhagat's Best Selling novel Five Point Someone. The movie is slated for December 25 release till now. Here is a detailed preview of the movie.

Rajkumar Hirani's third film as director stars Aamir Khan (LAGAAN) and Kareena Kapoor, appearing together for the first time. "3 Idiots", a satire on the educational system, started its principal photography in August 2008. Three schedules- two in Bangalore and another in Ladakh and Simla, have been completed successfully. The Ladakh schedule was disrupted due to unprecedented bad weather but despite the adverse conditions the crew made a quick shift of base and continued the shoot in Simla. The 33 day long schedule in Bangalore this year through January and first week of Feburary wrapped up on the 6th of Feburary. "3 Idiots" resumes shooting in Mumbai on the 14th of Feburary. The film is 80% complete and will release on Christmas this year.

3 Idiots is based on life of 3 IITians Ryan (Aamir Khan), Alok (R. Madhavan) and Hari (Sharmaan Joshi). Neha played by Kareena Kapoor is Ryan's love Interest in the movie. The awesome part of Professor Cherian the Great is played by legendary Boman Irani.
