Have just purchased a Dell System with Dell AX210 speakers which plugs into the USB port and getting no sound and wondering what's wrong. Well nothing is wrong, its once again Dell Design messup as they have got a hidden volume/power button on Dell AX210 Speakers. Read on to get this issue fixed.
In case you you are not getting sound from your Dell system using the Dell AX 210 speakers, please make sure that the you have plugged the speaker cable to the light green port on the rear of the system and speaker power cable to the USB port on the rear of the system tower. After that power on the speakers using volume button on the top of the right speaker. The picture below shows the Complete speaker setup and also shows the volume/power button located on the top of the right speaker.
If the issue still persists please follow these steps:
Click on start and in the search bar type Device manager and press enter.
Click on the "+" sign besides the option Sound option.
Right click on the option below that and click on uninstall.
Restart the system once.
The audio drivers will be reinstalled automatically by windows vista. If you have windows Xp , please download and install the audio drivers from Dell support site.
The issue should be resolved.
